Day 1: DEPARTURE

Board your overnight flight to Naples, Italy.

Day 2: SORRENTO

Benvenuti a Napoli! Here you will meet Mario, your Azzurro Dream Travel representative. Board your private coach and take a short, scenic drive to the beautiful seaside town of Sorrento. Check in to the hotel to freshen up and prepare for an orientation walk around town with Mario. Enjoy a welcome dinner at a local mozzarella farm where Maria, the owner, will teach you the art of mozzarella making. View a pizza making demonstration and enjoy local wine and delicacies. You will sleep well tonight! 

Day 3: AMALFI COAST

This morning after breakfast, set out to travel along Italy's finest coastline: the Amalfi Coast. Enjoy views of the terraced houses in Positano before visiting the heart of the town. Take time to have a drink on the beach and shop in the countless boutiques. Continue along the coast to visit the town of Amalfi. Visit the village of Ravello, perched atop a cliff and hosting the most beautiful views and magnificent Italian style gardens. Spend your evening at leisure exploring Sorrento's vibrant nightlife. 

Day 4: POMPEII & NAPLES

After breakfast, head to Pompeii, a city destroyed by the volcano, Mount Vesuvius, in 79 AD, to take a guided tour through the ancient streets. Afterwards, make your way toward vibrant Naples, the oldest city in Italy, founded by the Greeks. Walk through a typical Neapolitan open-air market and taste seafood fresh off the boat! Wander through Spaccanapoli, a long narrow street that leads to many of the most important sights in Naples. Stop for an espresso Neapolitan style at the famous Gran Caffè Gambrinus. Back in Sorrento, enjoy a fantastic seafood dinner with local wines and live music. 

Day 5: SORRENTO

Today is a free day to explore and shop the fabulous town of Sorrento. In the evening, enjoy a cooking school where you will taste wine, homemade limoncello, and cook a typical Sorrentine pasta. 

Optional: Isle of Capri

Experience the breathtaking cliffs and famous turquoise waters of Capri during a relaxing boat cruise to the most spectacular part of the island. Be inspired by the grottoes and coastline before ascending to Capri Town. Try the refreshing lemon granita, an island specialty. A note that this optional experience is weather dependent and may be replaced by a minibus tour of the Island with a visit to Anacapri and the Villa San Michele. 

Day 6: ASSISI

After breakfast, depart Sorrento for Assisi, one of Italy's most famous hilltop, Umbrian villages and the birthplace of Saint Francis. Here, visit the Basilica of Saint Francis accompanied by a local expert. Tonight, enjoy a dinner with local truffles and Sagrantino wine. 

Day 7: SAN GIMIGNANO

This morning, depart for the rolling hills of Tuscany. Today, visit San Gimignano, a UNESCO World Heritage site and medieval town noted for its majestic towers. Learn the art of gelato making (and tasting!) with local ingredients at an international award-winning gelateria. Afterwards, enjoy wine-tasting and lunch at a nearby villa belonging to one of the oldest and most famous San Gimignano families. Taste local delicacies and 10 different regional wines. After lunch, we make our way to the hotel, located in the heart of Tuscany, for an evening at leisure. 

Day 8: TUSCAN COUNTRYSIDE

Today, visit local markets to see how Italians choose fresh produce to create regional delicacies. Enjoy lunch at leisure in a local village. Return to the hotel for a cooking lesson with a local chef. 

Day 9: FLORENCE

After breakfast, we make our way to Florence, the birthplace of the Renaissance. Join a local guide for a tour of the Academy Gallery to see Michelangelo's statue of David. Continue to Giotto's Bell Tower and see the "Gates of Paradise" before visiting the Piazza della Signoria, to this day the political heart of Florence. Take time to stroll through Piazza Santa Croce, famous for its luxury shops. Visit the basilica where Michelangelo, and many other famous Italians, was laid to rest. Enjoy leisure time this afternoon before dinner in a local restaurant. Experience the famous steak Florentine and Chianti wine, music, and fun. 

Day 10: MONTERIGGIONI, TUSCANY

Today, rest and relax on the grounds of your hotel, surrounded by Tuscan cypress trees. Have a dip in the pool, enjoy a drink in the garden, savor the Tuscan countryside. Our dinner this evening will celebrate Tuscan delicacies. 

Day 11: CIVITA DI BAGNOREGIO & ROME

This morning, leave for Rome. On the way, stop at Civita di Bagnoregio, a medieval hilltop village with less than 15 inhabitants. Visit a local family who will prepare traditional delicacies unique to the region. Arrive in Rome for an evening at leisure. 

Day 12: ROME

Enjoy the morning at leisure. At lunchtime, visit the Jewish Ghetto of Rome for a Restaurant Crawl to sample some of the most famous dishes and wines of the city. On this famous tour, discover many hidden treasures of Rome before returning back to the hotel. Later, spend the last evening with an Italian feast at Opera Restaurant. Prepare for a night of music and merriment while enjoying the "Ultima Cena," or Last Supper, in Italy. 

Optional: Vatican City Guided Tour

Skip the lines and visit St. Peter's Basilica, the Sistine Chapel, and the Vatican Museums with an expert local guide. 

Day 13: DEPART ITALY

Today you must say goodbye to la bella Italia. Transfers to Rome Leonardo da Vinci airport are available. Until next time!
