DAY 1: DEPARTURE TO NAPLES, ITALY
Board your overnight flight to Naples, Italy.
DAY 2: ARRIVAL IN NAPLES/ TRANSFER TO SORRENTO
Welcome to Naples, the oldest city in Italy and with a backdrop of the Mediterranean Sea and the famed Mt. Vesuvius. Take a short, scenic drive to the beautiful seaside town of Sorrento and check into your hotel. After a little relaxation, take an orientation tour of Sorrento. Tonight, enjoy a welcome dinner party with plenty of great food and wine.
DAY 3: AMALFI COAST
After a leisurely breakfast, head out for a full day excursion along the Amalfi Coast, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. With a local guide, enjoy the Amalfi Coast by Fiat 500! Have cameras ready for a spectacular view of Positano where there will be free time to shop and explore this beautiful cliffside town. Continue further along the with stops at Amalfi and Ravello, and experience why this is one of the most renowned sky roads in the world. In the evening, return to Positano for an exquisite dinner with wine and a magnificent view of the Mediterranean. Later, arrive back in Sorrento for dinner in town.
DAY 4: POMPEII
After breakfast, meet your local guide to visit the “perfectly preserved” ancient Roman city of Pompeii. A local expert will lead this journey through the excavated ruins of the city which was buried by the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 A.D. Learn the secrets of Pompeii, buried in time, before continuing on to visit the slopes of Mt. Vesuvius and the vineyards where they make the world famous Lacryma Christi (Tears of Christ) wine. Enjoy a delicious Roman style lunch at the vineyard and savor this wine, whose production dates back to the ancient Romans. Return to Sorrento to spend the rest of the evening at leisure.
DAY 5: NAPLES FOODIE
After breakfast, meet your local guide in vibrant Naples, the oldest city in Italy, founded by the Greeks. Walk through a typical Neapolitan open-air market and taste seafood fresh off the boat! Wander through Spaccanapoli, a long narrow street that leads to many of the most important sights in Naples. Stop for an espresso Neapolitan style at the famous Gran Caffè Gambrinus. Back in Sorrento, enjoy a fantastic seafood dinner with a view of the sparkling Mediterranean waters.
DAY 6: CAPRI
Today, explore the Isle of Capri. Experience the breathtaking cliffs and famous turquoise waters during a relaxing boat cruise around the island. Don't forget to pack a picnic lunch and wine to toast as you cruise through the Faraglioni Rocks. Visit Capritown and its shops before heading to Anacapri, where you will take a chair lift to the top of the island for exquisite views and fresh air above the clouds. Here, enjoy a lemon granita, an island specialty, before heading back down to the port for your return boat to Sorrento. Today is a day you will never forget! A note that this day trip is weather dependent.
DAY 7: SORRENTO GASTRONOMY
Today, delve into the culinary world as you will get to experience your inner foodie in Sorrento. During this relaxing day, experience how our chefs select the best produce to bring you the delicious food you will come to know and love. Be welcomed at the local markets and see what makes the south of Italy stand out from international cuisine. Later on, head to a friend's restaurant where you will be taught how to prepare and cook a variety of authentic Italian specialties ... and then enjoy!
DAY 8: SORRENTO
Today, enjoy a day of leisure. Shop and explore the town of Sorrento or spend some relaxing time by the pool. Later in the afternoon, take part in a cooking class where a “famous” chef will give lessons on how to prepare homemade pasta. At the same time, learn the art of tasting great Neapolitan wines. Tonight, enjoy the “Ultima Cena” (Last Supper) in Sorrento. Great food, flowing wine, festive music and tarantella dancing complete your unforgettable week in paradise. Surely, these memories will last a lifetime.
DAY 9: DEPARTURE
