DAY 1: FLIGHT TO ROME, ITALY

Board your overnight flight to Rome, Italy’s Fiumicino airport

DAY 2: WELCOME TO ROME!

Welcome to Rome - one of the world’s most historic cities. Depart Rome’s Fiumicino airport and transfer to your hotel. Later, enjoy a welcome tour with a local guide to see the historic center's highlights by night and enjoy an inaugural gelato!

DAY 3: VATICAN AND IMPERIAL ROME

In the morning, you will visit the Vatican State, the richest community in the world, with a local guide. Here, you will enter the Sistine Chapel and admire Michelangelo’s famous painted ceiling, including The Creation. Next door in St. Peter’s Basilica, see one of Michelangelo’s early works, the Pieta, and the dome completed after his death. Next, visit the Colosseum, the largest amphitheater ever built and considered one of the greatest works of engineering and architecture. Finally, look out over the site of the Roman Forum, for centuries the center of Roman public life. The afternoon is at leisure for you to rest or enjoy the
city at your pace.

DAY 4: EXPLORE ROME

Another day for you to enjoy Rome. Shop in its elegant shops and boutiques along the Via del Corso, watch passersby while enjoying a cappuccino from one of its many delightful cafes, or stroll through the lively Piazza Navona, one of the most famed squares in all of Rome. This evening, enjoy a dinner and cooking class Roman style!

DAY 5: TUSCAN COUNTRYSIDE AND FLORENCE

After breakfast, make your way to Orvieto, one of the twelve Etruscan villages in Italy. Enjoy a walking tour with a local guide and visit the Duomo de Orvieto, a 14th century Roman Catholic Gothic cathedral. Continue on to visit a family-owned wine farm and olive grove. Discover the world of chianti classico while learning more about the sangiovese grape and wine-making traditions of this region. Continue on to Florence and settle into your hotel. 

DAY 6: FLORENCE – HEART OF THE RENAISSANCE

After breakfast, you will join a local expert for a tour of the Academy Gallery to see Michelangelo's statue of David. Continue to Giotto's bell tower next to the cathedral and see Ghiberti’s Gates of Paradise; before visiting the Piazza della Signoria, an open-air gallery and, to this day, the political heart of Florence. The afternoon is at leisure for you to explore this stunning city. Navigate the medieval streets to the Ponte Vecchio, visit the Boboli Gardens, or shop for Florentine treasures such as gold or leather. The world is your oyster! 

DAY 7: SAN GIMIGNANO AND SIENA

Check out of your hotel after breakfast and head to San Gimignano. Stroll through the town and enjoy the scenery! San Gimignano is known for its towers and Vernaccia wine (a white grape wine). Don’t forget to have an ice cream at the world famous Gelateria Dondoli located in the main square and known for its unique flavors, made from fresh local herbs and fruits. Make your way on to Siena for a guided tour of the town before heading back to your hotel.

DAY 8: ELEGANT VERONA AND VENICE

After breakfast, pass the city of Bologna as you make your way toward Verona, famous as the romantic home of Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. Walk with your local guide to admire the well-preserved Roman Arena and Juliet’s Balcony. Explore Verona at your own pace before heading out of the city east to unforgettable Venice. This evening, enjoy the beauty of this romantic city by boat while the stars are twinkling. Head to Piazza San Marco where you will sit and enjoy music from a live orchestra at a famous Venetian café. Revel in one of the most expensive squares in the world and view St. Mark’s sights from your seat.  After, a boat will then transfer you the length of the Grand Canal, under the Rialto Bridge, and back to your hotel. 

DAY 9: DISCOVER VENICE

There is no other city in the world like the picturesque city of Venice! Visit a Venetian Arts center to learn about hand-crafted glass, gondolas, and lace before boarding your private boat to get an introduction to this magnificent city of bridges, canals, and palaces! Disembark near the Piazza San Marco at the Bridge of Sighs and see St. Mark’s Basilica and the Doges’ Palace. The afternoon is at leisure for gallery hopping, museum exploration, or shopping! In the evening, stroll under the stars in one of the world’s most unforgettable cities or have a drink with us in St. Mark’s Square. 

DAY 10: EXPLORE VENICE

Your last day is free to enjoy Venice, whether you choose to visit the open air markets near the Rialto Bridge, shop along the narrow alleys, or take a gondola ride through the winding canals stopping to visit one of Venice’s ninety churches or to experience a meal of lagoon fresh seafood! This evening, enjoy a tour finale dinner to taste the local specialties of this magical city.

DAY 11: DEPARTURE

You say farewell to La Bella Italia (until next time!). Morning transfer available to Venice Airport.
